A large, original, atmospheric beach themed seascape painting. Seagulls fly and glide in the blue, pink sky as the waves roll onto the beach below, setting the scene for this 'perfect day' at the British Norfolk coast.
 
Painted in an impressionist style, I used soft colour tones of blue, green and pink adding contrasts of yellow ochre and burnt umber. The blue and pink tones of the sky reflect on the wet sands of the bay as seagulls fly overhead. An envigorating open space of the coast full of movement, harmony and perspective, creating a feeling of presence and an ethereal beauty.
 
This fine art piece has been painted onto primed, archival professional stretched cotton canvas. It has been framed in a contemporary, modern style wide front, solid wood frame which has a warm white, slightly textured, matt finish complementing the artwork beautifully.
