'London Calling' is a large, abstract painting and my interpretation of the London skyline as seen from the River Thames. Painted in a rustic and textured style with many painterly qualities adding movement and drama to this creative, impactful and inspried work of art.
 
It has been painted in an abstract and slightly impressionist style with gold paint spattered throughout giving an evocative sense of the city seen by myself, the artist.
Gritty and spectuacular, I have captured the essence of what I see as the capitals' structure and viberancy. It has been painted in acrylic medium using a limited colour palette of blue, green, gold, grey and burnt sienna with a pop of red. The large, square cotton canvas has been triple primed and finished with satin varnish for aesthetic value and for it's protection. 
 
I used to work in London as a graphic designer and have seen colossal changes over the years. It is not any less awesome now I see it as a visitor. After many exhibitions here, I feel privalaged to have been a part of London Life, and long may it continue!
 
The artwork would suit many room settings giving the viewer impact to any aspect of home or office. It has been left unframed for you to decide which frame suits your space. Although a modern work of art, it would suit a contemporary or the more traditional frame.
